School Age Child Care ProgramsWelcome to Comal ISD’s School Age Child Care Program Our program provides after-school care for students in kindergarten through fifth grade who can function independently in a group. Along with our after-school care, we also offer a summer program! 2026-2027 School Year Registration will open on 4/13/26 at 7PM. 2026 Summer Registration is closed! Step-by-Step Guide: Create an arux account (guide) Complete the enrollment application (guide) An email will be sent within 20 business days stating whether or not your application was approved. View your application status under your profile. If your status reads "pending approval" your application has been placed on a waitlist. *Please note that the following: Summer SACC: The registration fee plus the first weeks tuition fee will be charged upon contract approval. After-School Care: The registration fee plus the first bi-weekly tuition will be charged upon contract approval. School aged children (K-5) are welcome to register at any of our 21 elementary schools for after school care, or any of the 6 elementary schools selected annually for summer program. This course introduces the knowledge that every pilot must understand to fly an airplane. Principles of flight/Aerodynamics of flight Flight controls and aircraft systems Flight instruments and airworthiness Weight and balance Aircraft performance Airport operations and communication National airspace systems Using an E6B for flight planning calculations Navigation planning The purpose of this course is to introduce subjects every pilot must comprehend to fly an airplane and familiarize students with the many career opportunities in aviation. Taught by certified flight instructors, this course builds students’ confidence and ability to advance their training for an aviation career. TX Youth JR EngineeringSTEMThis is a hands-on engineering class built for curious elementary students who love to build, test, and make improvements. Students will create new projects, think like engineers, work in teams, and solve real problems. Some of the projects include: designing a bridge that must hold weight, protect an egg from impact, build a rolling car, launch a paper rocket, build a catapult, and test it against friendly competitors. They will also use educational building kits that stretch their thinking and problem solving skills.
